In Awe of our Savior

I am amazed each and every day at what God does in my life. I’m just a simple person working to survive just like everyone else. When we stop and think about it, we’re all in the same boat. The only reason any of us make it through is because of God. We sure can’t take credit for any of it. He gave it all. He provides it all. I am in awe every day because I see Him in action in my life. He gives me the stamina to keep moving, to want to get things done. He puts my mind at ease when everything around me is in chaos. Things I may dread doing, He makes it simple. I see others around me that are in a constant battle with frustration. When I try to help, I get shut down quickly. Satan is relentless but we never give up. Everyone matters to God and He demands our attention. He’s our Creator, He gives and takes away. God provides all my needs. When I don’t see any relief in sight, He’s always there.

Deuteronomy 10:21 NKJV – He is your praise, and He is your God, who has done for you these great and awesome things which your eyes have seen.

Exodus 15:2 NKJV – The Lord is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation; He is my God, and I will praise Him; My father’s God, and I will exalt Him.

Turning our lives over to God and realizing that we can’t make it without Him is the single most important thing we ever do. With God, when we think we have nothing, we have so much. When we trust in Him, He takes what we have and blesses us with something we could have never imagined. Relying on God makes me want for nothing. I don’t desire the things I used to desire. I don’t envy the things I used to envy. I see things different, I want to please Him. I want to honor Him. When I get mad or frustrated, I have to quickly back myself up and seek His guidance and forgiveness. He constantly reassures me of His love for me.

Matthew 6:19-21 ESV – Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

About Rita:
“The breakthrough point for when my faith in God really started to grow was in 2000-2001. Through a series of trampled relationships, I turned my focus to God. I love reading, walking, and playing challenging word games. I have a beautiful daughter who lives in Florida, and my vacation time is spent with her. I have learned that having a Christ-centered life settles my anxieties and truly opens the door to God’s plan for me.”
